'I wonder how I'm still here' - Sudanese-born model Adut Akech, 19, reveals her battle with depression

Sudanese-born Australian model Adut Akech has become really popular in the modelling world in recent years but the 19-year-old struggles with depression and anxiety behind the scenes. 

Adut, who launched her modelling career at the age of 16, revealed her secret battle

with depression and anxiety in a post on New Year's day. The Sudanese-Australian model said she cried every morning and night in 2018.

In a lengthy post she shared on Instagram, Adut said that despite her successful career she "suffered from really bad depression and anxiety". She added that she is learning to handle her mental illness but feels overwhelmed sometimes.
