A recent violence that erupted between Fulani and youths in Bassa local government area of Plateau state has led to the sudden death of no fewer than three people while one person is reportedly missing.
Muhammad Nuru Abdullahi, the chairman of Miyetti Allah Cattle Breeders Association of Nigeria (MACBAN), Plateau state chapter said three people have been killed in a recent clash between Fulani and Irigwe youths in Bassa local government area of the state.
Abdullahi said a 19 year-old Ishaq Yusuf, was shot in the neck while a 22 year-old Abubakar Shehu was found buried in a shallow grave near a mining site.
The chairman also revealed that the hoodlums slaughtered 31 cattle and injured eight others adding that one person was still missing while another had sustained injuries and was responding to treatment.
It was learned that the corpses of two Fulani youths were discovered on Monday evening, March 5, around Rafin Bauna in Bassa and a few hours later, the corpse of an Irigwe youth was discovered in the area.
Confirming the incident, Operation Safe Haven Media and Information Officer, Major Adam Umar, said three people were killed, while two other Irigwe youths sustained injuries and are now receiving treatment in the hospital.
